I have got a HTC WILDFIRE S with Android 2.3.3 (Gingerbread).

I want to root my device. bounce

tnx to all fo, lukin at the point... but sorry to say that all the above are only for htc wildfire. not for the wildfire s. there are so many diffrnnce b/w these two device.. nope

I think there is no tutorial on the net which shows us how to root HTC Wildiire S (Android 2.3). banghead

All of them out there are about the older HTC Wildfire (Android 2.1/2.2) neut

Let's wait for more softwares to come which enable us to root the Wildfire S !!!

HTC is coming up with their official tool to unlock bootloader. It'll come in Sep-Oct. After that you can install custom OS like Cyanogenmod, but not before that!

the bootloader unlocker is available now. but for onlyHTC Sensation (EU) and FOTA 1.45.401.2 and some 2011 models it says. does dat include my htc wildfire s?...
i need help....

No only a limited number of models are supported till date.
But the list will grow soon and the bootloader is sure to support hTC Wilfire S also. yes

sittilovesu I have a HTC Wildfire S as well and I don't find anything related to root the Wildfire S, but I found something helpfull.

It helps you to move some apps to the MicroSD card without root. Is so easy to do and, trust me, it works!

We have to use this till we have a way to root it!

Well, thanks Nnoelia, by the way I've read that topic, and for this thanks to chrome and its translation feature. But I think that application is for Desire and wildfire, i.e, froyo 2.2. not for wildfire s...

For S-OFF you need XTC-Clip (Info). Gonna shell out some money I think, but then rooting can be done easily.
