Installing Linux Backtrack or other distros is quite easy .. I will tell how ..

Well you will need this first ...

unetbootin

Download the software ....

it is just click and run .. Well I would advice you to have a 4GB pendrive or more for this work ..

Now deciding which distro you want to install ...

When you open up program unetbootin it shows this option where you can choose which distro you are looking for .. It will download and install

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Now if you have a pre downloaded .ISO image file of operating system just select Diskimage option ..

Browse to that storage place of .ISO file ..

You can Download .ISO IMAGES OF LINUX

as for example if you want to download BACKTRACK 5 go here

Now make sure your pen drive is plugged in ...
Navigate to Device type and select USB DRIVE as shown in figure .. Select its drive and hit ok...

You are done

You will get a screen like this

After everything goes fine .. now its time to reboot and enjoy !!

SOMETIMES YOU NEED TO CHANGE BOOT ORDER FOR BOOTING, SO GO INTO CMOS MENU.. OR TRY TO OPT FOR QUICK BOOT OPTION BY PRESSING F8 (F2 in some PCs)

Enjoy using Linux on Pendrive !!

UTILITY

1 . DATA SAVER .. WHEN YOU WINDOWS CRASHES OUT YOU CAN MOVE YOUR C DRIVE FILES ONTO ANY DRIVE BY BOOTING WITH IT ..
2. CARRYING OUT HACKING RELATED PROGRAMMES
3. SINCE THE DRIVE YOU MADE IS NOT PERSISTENT .. EACH TIME YOU REBOOT .. THE OS WILL CHANGE TO DEFAULT VALUES .. SO NO MORE WORRY OF WRONG SETTINGS !! yaaa
